Birch was purchased in 2017 along with a group of other mares and a stud colt.  Her breeder and prior owner both struggle with health so she had very little training before coming to us as a 2 year old.  It took a long time to gain her trust but once we did she proved herself to be sensible and willing.  We started her in harness ourselves as a 3 year old and she is a part of the logging crew now.  In 2022, Birch passed the EBRA's Breed Standard Evaluation to be denoted a Qualified Mare, producing offsping for the purebred European Brabant studbook.
